Default Overheating ESC and Motor?

Anyone else have problems with the esc and motor running waaaay hot? The belts are nice and loose and I don't think I am over geared (18T pinion with stock spur and a 6.5 motor). I boarder line on thermalling every race....any suggestions?

On a 5.5 sintered Novak I usually run 17-19/87 so the gearing sounds ok.
I assume you have some ventilation in the shell for the hot air from the speedo escape from?
Could try wiring the fan to 7.2v, that seems to help.
Not had a problem with mine running hot though.

LRP Sphere Comp with heatsink
Peak Vantage Brushless motor
Lots of ventilation (all stock cut outs plus additional ones over esc and at rear of body)

put a fan in, youd be amazed by the difference of one. try get the lrp specific one which goes on top of the esc it self.
