Default Owen = Goal Machine

Haha he's just bagged his 2nd of Pre-season....

I think it could be a stroke of genius bringing him in on a free!

Imagine the faces should he score at Anfield

His wages may well say otherwise as far as the the club are concerned.........

Its one thing scoring in pre-season warm ups and another doing it in the Prem/Champions League for real

He's on a massively reduced wage though, think they may have even settlend on a pay as you play....

If he stays fit there's no doubt he'll score though, we create so many chances that just need that predator instinct that we've missed since Ruud left - someone who will just poach and score tap-ins is hard to come by but i think Owen could score 20 in the league easily.

His wages are still on the upper tier of thier pay structure, I have this from a good source . The bonus's are on a pay as you play, but his weekly is still more than your average "Prem" player

20 goals this season..........optimistic I think, my guess is nearer 10/12 only though, I hope I am wrong for his sake......

Yeah i feel for you Newcastle fans mate, that club needs seriously sorting out quickly! Some of they players there though - Nolan has to be one of the worst, came for good money and may as well not have bothered...

I think Owen is one of those strikers that will always score if the chances are created (perfect for Man United) but at Newcastle if the midfielders weren't able to put in any quality crosses etc he was never going to get back to pick up the ball and then run past people - he's not that player any more.... I just love the way he finds space so well, that's where his natural instinct seems to be anyway.

20 Goals this season should be comfortable IF he stays fit - Just have to hope that's not a big IF!

If he ends up playing a super-sub role, i have to say i think Welbeck will be a good option this season too, i can see him and Macheda getting a few more starts this year
