I race my BMAX indoors on carpet (approx 15m straight with a very tight and twisty infield, the track is 5 rolls of carpet wide), and was looking for advice with gearing.
I used a 10.5 brushless geared with a 23 pinion and an 81 tooth spur, but sadly my motor overheated so badly during a 6 minute practice run that it is now dead ![]() What gearing would should I use in future to ensure that this costly mistake doesn't happen again ? |

Im using a 13.5t indoors on polished floor and found 24/81 ok for this motor.
I would say you are maybe 2 teeth over geared. |

For a small track I would consider go back to 87t spur.
