511 Servo weights

Was just looking at the photos in the 'Show us your TRFs' thread and saw quite a lot of people with weights on top of the servo. How much is recommended, and does it depend on ESC/motor/receiver/servo?

I don't have any accurate scales to measure on, so not sure how evenly my weight is distributed.
