Default Ninja - collet, crankshaft, flywheel question

OK, i have the ninja.

Just come to fit the collet and flywheel... the collet will only go as far as the thread for the nut. is it really a case of brute force to get it to the end of the shaft? and then brute force to get the flywheel over the collet?

Its not unusual for it to be a little tight.
The easiest way to get it over is to use a small flat head (blade) screwdriver in the collet split, twist and move down. THis willl open it a little.

The flywheel should then drop over this.
