Default vista network help

need one of you kind pc peeps to help me out

got a pc on vista and a laptop on xp

can see my laptop files from my pc and open them,
can see my files from laptop tp pc but get permission denied when trying to open them

give me an engine anytime!!!

Sounds like someone has set the "documents" area on the vista pc to be "made private". Not too sure if this can be reversed, as I never touched Vista in any great depth, just got put off it straight away. Try navigating to C:\Users (on the vista PC) and checking the properties of the folder which you want to do anything with the files...

Might be able to do something that way...

A simple common problem, sometimes solved by having identical named user accounts and passwords on both xp and vista, that has solved it for me before.
