Default Free 40C Li-Po

1 Careful owner. Only every been charged at 1C apart from yesterday when it was charged as a Ni-MH... by his son

The owner requested anonymity, so we'll just call him 'Alan'

Where do you stand with the BRCA tampering regulations if the Li-Po opened itself ?

been there once myself when driving in an endurance race.
A team-member wanted to charge his Lipo with my charger. He started pushing buttons because he wanted to charge his pack at 2C in stead of the 1C I ALWAYS use.
Problem is "he" never warned me or told me that he touched my charger
(and we had agreed before the race that every driver would only use HIS charger and I also made it clear I only wanted my packs charged at 1C)

Later on, I want to charge the Orion 3600-lipo I had borrowed from a friend .. and suddenly notice it is allready at 9V !!
"oops, fault Lipo" I think and quickly remove it from our table at put it on a safe place, away from people.
I then begin to charge my proper lipo, a Trakpower 4200 ... and later on also see that this lipo is allready at 8, 8V???

Turned out "he" had switched the lipo-program for a NiCd-Step-program.
AND, officially, we never knew, who "he" was that had altered my charger-profile. The "actor" never admitted.

so that was one personal Lipo no more good
+ the new Orion 3600-lipo from a friend, good for the bin.

ps: we were a team of only three drivers
ps2: we won that race though LOL

ps3: later on, these lipo's were (or are?) still used. The Orion 3600 however had noticable lost power and capacity and is alwayskept safely away. I was told the Trakpower 4200 gave no problems later on.

Hi Guys,

I heard my photo was being used as fuel by anti-lipoists on another forum somewhere. Anyone got a link to the thread?

Cheers,
Jon.
