Default Bmax Shock Modification

Guys

Thought I would share this with you seeing as most of you probably have had the same problem.

Bmax shock screws, bleed screws in there breakable plastic caps and the awful to use nuts are one of the cars worst problems in my opinion.

What I have done on mine to make the front and not so important rear as bomb proof as possible is to use b44 parts instead.

That consists of the following-

AE Blue Alloy Shock Caps-1 pack
AE Blue Alloy Cap Bushings-1 pack
AE Black nylon nuts-1 pack
AE Shock mount screws-1 pack

The bleed screws are not needed on this car and I can see or feel no difference using the AE ones. I trialled the plastic caps at the weekend that are a standard fit on AE cars and no difference.

This conversation may cost around £20-£22 but believe me it will be worth it because there won't be any broken caps (£8 per pair), broken screws (Wrong thread) and there it won't take you half an hour to remove the standard nuts from the screws now either.

I need to point out that the screws are a couple of mm too short to use with standard mounts they have been sourced to work with Ryans 4mm carbon mounts only.

Enjoy

or you could just turn the screws around like i did on Chris cocker's car so they face rearward, and that stops them digging in, breaking the shock caps and snapping the front towers, ether way would work i think, great idea though.

Carl-Yeah I knew about the mod of swapping around but just looks shite!
Doing this will stop any breakages I hope relating to the shock caps and screws.

Nick-Yeah you got it ;0) you got me a wishbone for Sunday yet??!?! Pleaseeeee

This mod will work with or without the champ pack as the caps are the same but minus the gay blead screws
