Question Read/Unread Marks?

Is there anyway I can set the read/unread marking to manual refresh rather than each time I visit?

?
You can double click on the oOple logo to mark an entire section (ie electrics, or th playground for example) as read, but not as unread. Is this any help?

Thanks Col but unfortunately that's not quite what I'm after, I'll try and be a bit clearer.

How can I stop my unread marks automatically disappearing when I leave the site. On each visit I don't always get time to read through all the new threads that might be of interest, when I next visit all of the previous unread marks will have been refreshed can this refresh be set to manual?
