Default 4wd buggy wheels question

I'm after some 4wd buggy wheels, they need to be the same size as the trf501x ones (front and rear), but have to have the 12mm hex fitting on them.

anyone got a link where I can get some?

The tamiya df03 wheels and tyres are the same size. they come in white and black. part numbers 53880 and 53881 for the white ones. These are available pretty much anywhere. the black ones can be found form some places like DMS

Another solution is found on DMS-Racing - search for Academy wheels, skus AYCP331, AYCP332, AYCP335, AYCP336. They're 2.2" wheels just like the 501X and other racing buggies sport, and at £3 a pair, they're a bargain. Unfortunately, DMS have so far only sent me the rears I ordered. You might want to ring ahead to confirm stock.

The remaining option is Kyosho rims, as they are about the only major player holding on to the 12mm hex instead of the Losi-type fitting everyone else has adopted - shame, because I prefer the 12mm hex all round.

What about offset?

A lot of the 12mm hex wheels will have a different offset to the 501X ones. I expect the HB wheels and the most recent Kyosho wheels are closest in offset.
