Default Cruise nightclub - Chester

Doddy/Stan/Robin/Jones etc etc

Am on a Stag do in Chester this weekend, specifically ended up in Cruise. Is Chester still as up its own backside as it used to be about, trousers, shirts and shoes? I hear collared shirts and shoes are essential, any ideas on Jeans?

Cheers.

Dan

Dan,

depends how busy it is, but was round there last friday and seems to be a bit better now. Think shoes and a collared shirt are needed but get in with jeans.

Couple of decent places opened up now so give yourself pleanty of time.

Off the wall, slug and lettuce, revolution etc

Blimey, my old Head office was in Chester, many a night spent in Rosies instead of learning the finer points of finance agreements!

We went back about 6 months ago and ended up in a club that was all white downstairs, really smart and then upstairs the best thing ever!!

A dancefloor with coloured squares like on Saturday Night fever!!!

Chester didn't know what had hit it when I started busting some moves

Cruise and Rosies are the same place renamed aren't they? The nights I've spent wasted there, pretty much my whole youth!!

Check out Havana's too, for cocktails!

And if your on a stag, Platinum Lounge all the way
Much better than STD in Stoke, and from my last stag experience lapdancers are friendlier in a recession!!

Default chester

Dave no Rosies is still Rosies and Cruise is opposite Branaghans - up the stairs

Wondered how long it was until someone mentioned the Platnium Lounge but defo worth a tour of the finer things in Chester (above the slug and lettuce) Remember to mention one stag night for special dances - Lucy is quite nice

Dan, not too sure what everyone else has put as i cant be arsed reading everything

Basically you have to wear a shit on either friday or saturday, its a bit annoying as it changes on fridays sometimes depending on how busy it gets. Be safe anda wear a shirt! Jeans you can pretty much wear anything as long as they are not ripped. You also have to wear a smart ish pair of shoes, i.e. no trainers!

If i were you i'd defo make sure that i went to Lloyds, Pitcher and Piano, Amber Lounge, Bar lougne, Havanna's!. Bar lougne and Havanna's can be fairly expensive as they are mainly cocktail bars but always a good laugh.

Make sure you dont get to cruise too early as it will be toss. Also if anyone of your mates smoke, make sure they dont go out the front door towards the end of the night to smoke as they wont let you back in, in other words use the smokers area that they provide.

Erm think thats about as much help as i can be.

Oh yer if you guys like your proper beers then get yourself to Harkers (its about 3 mins walk from the station, right on the canel) they have some awesome drinks on tap that will get you started.

If you want anymore info just give me a shout, Chester's my home now. and seeing as you know what im like i know it fairly well already

Enjoys!

Danny

Can recommend Harkers too, good beer!!

Love St, wow I remember that place, concrete everything and all painted grey or black it felt like! Absolute sh*t hole (not like that Lee!), loved it!!

For some reason most of the patrons used to be in camouflage though when I was there

Harkers is top
The private members club on the next corner along the canal used to be ok after Harkers, before heading to the club under the hotel towards the hospital, can't remember it's name now, but the mature ladies didn't wear underwear

Chester is absolutely shit for a night out

Cruise isn't bad, but wildly expensive, and not as full of overdrunken snatch like Rosies (sorry, RB's). The best club closed down many years ago, Blimpers (changed to Alchemy, then changed to massively homosexual Alchemy).

If you want granny sex, then the best place would be Stringers (above Yates', and i think it has changed name now)

if you want cheap booze to start you off, get to Bar 15 next to Revo, it does 2-4-1 on pints at around 5-7.

So, the best plan would be...

5pm - off licence for a litre bottle of Diamond White, then head down to the park to grope some slappers and throw up

6.30pm - get to Bar 15 to leather as many pints on the cheap as you can

7.30pm - cheeky chicken burger from Chicoland (vital)

8pm - tactical puke - to allow for more booze room

8.01pm - Wetherspoons/Revo/Watergates/Pitcher and Piano - final round of relatively cheap ale (compared to Cruise)

9.30pm - get into Cruise before the price jacks up another 5iver.

5am - leave Cruise and attempt to walk home after sitting in a taxi queue for ages and getting ready to lamp someone

9am - wake up next to a horrific minger/man and tell everyone that you're 'never drinking again'

10am - bacon butties

cheers
