As much carpet as possible. I personally cant stand tracks like batley indoor where its all slippy.

Second that!
If the track was fairly flat that would be excellent. |

Polished floor is good, but only in the slow sections of a track. It's crap when it's on a really fast bit, like at the end of the straight.

it was the jump directly infront of the rostrum last saturday, b4 the endurance. i think thats the one your talking about. can i ask.... the hall is quite small at lowefields, so will we be using the whole thing for the tract and then classrooms for pitting? or will it be like the club nights??? (except obviosously wiv more pitting)
also i agree about slow corners being slippy, except accelerating out may be a problem??? it has to be a track that flows. also g, do you know if we're aloud to use ne mats from the school for it??

What is with all the carpet loving, something to do with driving X6's
![]() I'm sure the track will be very good as per usual with G's tracks. There will be some slippy floor. The track will be as big as it needs to be, there may be some pitting in the hall there may be none, dunno yet. The track will not fill the hall as we need space for spectators, race control, etc. We can have anything we want from the gym, all depends on how many club members will be there to bring it out and put it away on Sunday night. |

I think people want carpet because
1) more consistant and 2) better racing If youre racing with full grip, you can go as fast as possible. This emans faster more competitive racing. With lots of slippy, a fair bit is hit and miss and is alot harder for the less experienced drivers. |

G wil build an ACE track, as he always does, with the slippy parts in the correct places. Remember he has been doing it since most of you lot were in nappies.

My personal opinion is that once the slippy has been cleared of dust it will be fine and offer enough grip. I also think better racing does not come with more carpet. As you say slippy floor is harder for less experienced drivers, hence the better drivers should come to the top with slippy floor in the track. Better drivers means better racing. It is harder for less experienced racers, but lets remember this is a regional series not club night, therefore the track should be aimed at the better drivers not the new drivers. It will also help the lesser experienced drivers improve. Racing with full grip and as fast as possible is about as boring as off-road comes. Lets have some throttle control somewhere not just a flat out track. I for one prefer a challenging track that brings out driver skill instead of a track that requires you to be flat out 90% of the time. |

As an X6 driver, I want some slippy for defo! I agree I don't like it at the end of the straight though!
Can we have a proper big jump like normal, defo get vermin on the case, he genuinly is very good at that. Downslopes are always good too (essential)! Dan
