HI EVERYBODY!
A quick question. being F5, what are the chances of actually getting to race in the nationals this year??? Do you stand more chance if you pre book to do the whole series?? |

I think you get more chance yes.. vicky did them all last year and got into 3 I think right away - had to wait on the other three but got an entry before we actually even set off there so its not so bad..
Having said that - since I started racing in 2002 things seem to have become more popular every year, and I expect the nats will be heavily over subscribed. If you dont get into the ones you want to, then theres always the north east regionals - always good for a laugh. |

Im crossing pretty much everything I possibly can in the hope i get in too.
Im also an F5 and really want to do all the Nats. Im just really annoyed i didnt get back into racing until the second half of the outdoor season last year so didnt get enough points from the 2 events i did to raise my formula! D'oh!! |

Do you generally know quite early on if you get put in?
Its just that I don't want to be making the treck to, say, tiverton only to find out I cant race. It's an expensive weekend if you don't get to race. I think that the regionals will be a better idea myself. I take it your performance in the regionals effects your 'F' rating? |

you can gain anything up to F2 through regionals
you normally know quite well in advance of meetings if you got in, if you are on the reserve list for a national they try to notify you if you got in as early as possible they have penalties in place for drivers that don't go to a meeting they have booked in for, this normally allows the reserves to bump up before the events as people tend to cancel if they can't make it |

I'm a little confused, I sent the form off a few weeks ago to book in for 4 nationals, I got a receipt back saying they had received it. Does this mean I'm not nessercerily booked in though?

I think you hear back as to which you are "in" or not - I think they give you some info in the post ??
Vicky is entering all 6 2wd nationals again this year, I am only doing 2 so I'm not sure if I will get in or not |

No cos the closing date is middle (?) of march, you have to wait until then and then the appropriate rules are applied to get the priority entries.
So if you are an F1, you can wait until the day before the closing date to enter and know you'll get in. That said I've already sent mine off!

Ah right ok, so how do you know if you are in when the entry closes in March, do they send a letter out confirming?

you only get confirmation of receipt if you included a stamped addressed card. a pack will be sent to all successful entrant's with track info and which meetings they are in included, these are normally sent out mid/end of march

Wayne if you included a SAE for receipt and haven't heard anything you need to speak to them. Vermin missed the date last year and only got in 3. I had me receipt about 3 days after i sent it in, the BRCA are very good!
