Default Shock bottom retainers for B4

I have a newbie question for you out there!
Been looking at the shock bottom retainers for B4 from nortechracing.
It says: These are used to stop the bottom of your shocks popping off the ball. What exactly does this mean? Where should they be attached?

Thanks
Dennis

You would only use these on the rear of the B4, at the bottom of the shock; securing it to the wishbone. The alli washer/retainer is larger than the plastic which surrounds the ball. Blue alli if its an FT version, black steel ones if standard.

As these plastic bits wear, they can "pop off" these balls, therefore the shock absorber wouldnt be attached to the wishbone. The alli retainer from northech, stops the plastic bit popping of the ball so you can finish the race!
