Default INSERTS

Hi all, I am looking for some general guidance on inserts. what do the majority of people run, where do I buy them?
I will be running my car for the first time on thursday if time allows. Indoor venue planning on running yellow mini pins/mini spikes, surface will be mostly grippy carpet, but with a bit of polished "slippy" floor. Any advice greatly appreciated.
Cheers ya'll
