Default Bantam BC6 Lipo charge query

Ready to try charging my 3200 TP Lipo, but have a quick question or two:

1. Instructions say how it's vital to get the correct final voltage, but there does not appear to be a way to set it!? Is it done automatically when you set the cell type to Lipo and the number of cells?

2. How does it know when to cutoff, again I'm assuming it's automatic by knowing the correct voltage similar to other chargers?

3. Is there any way of confirming it is indeed balancing as it charges (in balancing charging mode)? Status lights etc?

Its automatic, once you have lipo charge mode, 7.4volts the charger will ask you to confirm before charging and stop charging automaticly, 8.4 volts -ish Ithink

I cannot remember if the display changes in balance mode, but it takes longer to finish. I seem to remember the cell voltages may be shown instead of total voltage, would need to look it up.

It knows the finishing voltage from the number of cells as you say.
It cuts off automatically. It doesn't "peak" like NiHM cells, it has a constant voltage cutoff which is a bit wierd at first. The voltage will get up to 8.4v, but instead of cutting off there, the amps will drop slowly to 0, then it cuts off.
Not sure how to confirm it is balancing, but as long as you have selected the balance mode and connected the balance lead it should be fine. I think it may give an error if you try and balance charge without the balance lead connected.

I think if you press up when balance charging you get another screen that shows the voltage in each cell (2 in this case) as it charges.

As said a two cell battery will get to 8.4V and no higher. the current will then start to drop until the battery is full.
When balance charging the display will say BAL so it's pretty clear.

Great charger, only "button presses" to get used to, short press to change mode as opposed to long press to start/confirm.
