Default Mamba Max

Is the mamba max legal or not for off road this year, was thinking of running it for some regionals in 2wd?

don't think they will be

nothing to stop you using the esc hooked up to a brushed motor from the list though

got this back from them a few days back

Glenn,
They are not rebuildable (it voids the warranty if you do
that),
and they do not have the logo or name moulded into the endbell.
I'd have to talk with the engineers about the specs of the motor if you
really wanted to know what the stack diameter, etc are.

brushed motor ?

Why not use the Mamba Max with a brushless motor from the list if the included motors are not legal (yet)?

can that be done ?

not up on this new tech stuff just yet.

can you just remove hall sensor wire from the LRP/Nosram motors and hook up the 3 motor wires in the same way?

You can run either type of brushless motor, the sensor and sensorless ones - like you said just without the sensor wire.
I am not sure which motors are legal right now?

So, basically the lrp and novak style motors then. lol

Is the reason for the mamba max the motor itself or just that it has not been submitted ?

Hi
i am sponsored by the uk importers of Mamba systems and i am in the process of making them aware how important it is for them to get the mamba's homlogated, at the moment the biggest problem is the motor uses a decal and is not moulded for identification.
soon as i have more info i will pass it on
