I have broken a fair few spurs during 2010. It was only caused by hard braking though. One track in particular was hard on them with a 60mph straight to a 5-10mph hairpin. As you can imagine, the braking (on carpet) was fairly heavy and it stripped a few spurs. Because of this, I've bought a few delrin spurs from 3racing which should last a fair bit longer and the price is nearly the same. I have yet to find RW spurs that fit the 511, but I'm quite sure they're out there. I just havent found them yet.

I think ashley caunt on here has some rw ones for sale.
personally i have never had any issues at all with the std ones. Ran a new car yesterday and that spur was sweet too, nice and quiet ![]()

i break teeth in hard breaking !
i think it's special track, very hight grip and aa lot of breaking part with a very big one, but when you are in very good round and heard a very bad noise in middle and don't finish you are not very happy ![]() i'll looking for the rw in ebay, they are probably easier to found for me than the tamiya ! |
