2 question for the x factory guys
1) Motor seems to be getting a bit hot does this mean i need a fan or some holes in the shell if so where so water does not get in 2) Went to formby indoor today - high grip track with an Ellis setup and at first the front wheel was lifting under power - any pointers would be greatfully received |

Jamie, sounds like you may be a tad over geared, I have no problem with my X11 7.5. What motor/gearing/battery are you running?
On a high grip track I would use the middle hole on the rear wishbone, 30 weight oil in rear, a rear roll bar and e speed hangers upwards, this oought to help. Something you need to do is run the ride height a lot higher than you would think, the X-6 doesn't grip roll like other 2wd's and the car runs much better with the driveshafts slightly above level. Throw out of your head all the conventional B4 setups and start calculating "the new math" ![]() |

That was a 6.5 light with Ellis's recommended ratio ie what ever he ran in the worksop indoor final - its quick enough for me that's for sure

southports a lot smaller than worksop, we ran a 6.5 its way to fast for southport indoors, a 7.5 or even 8.5 would be best, and the rear anti roll bar should stop most if not all the roll, see u there sunday??

You might benefit from a motor heatsink on indoor tracks, but once outside in the lovely UK weather things should be fine without.
Yeah just following on from Carl's post. A 6.5t is a little too 'hot' for the car indoor. The reason I say that is remember that last years Indoor Finals were run using NiMh's. LiPo's give a tad more power ![]() |

Carl, the heatsink is the normal LRP motor heatsink. But the fan that comes with that is WAY to big for the car, so I used a normal 25mm speedo fan.
I suspect you'll only need the heatsink for boring 5 minute indoor racing. ![]() |

Maybe try a 7.5 Jay Ive been running a 7.5 or 6.5 indoors dependent on track size & always run a 5.5 last year with nims!
Are you at Kiddy or Souhport on Sunday?

b4 or losi bits for mounts, you have to make the bar your self, we use 0.9mm 1.2mm
