The diffs on my b44 have become a bit to graunchy after numerous rebuilds with the same bearings and thrust races I think the components are kippered.
Do I just need new races and plastic gears or the balls as well ?

Hey,
What I would do is: First things to replace are the thrust race balls and washers. If the diff is still bad then replace the diff rings. The diff balls would be the last to be replaced. MiCk B. :-)

if you need to buy all these parts- diff rebuild kit, diff balls, rings, plastic gears etc you might aswell buy a whole new diff unit

I've just replaced the whole front diff in my B44 today as it was getting rough, which leads me to a novice's question..... how often should i be stripping and re-building my diffs??
Should i wait until they start to feel rough or would i be best stripping, cleaning and rebuilding frequently?, once a month or something....... the car is mainly used every wednesday night indoors.
