Default X5 debut went well

Hi guys

Just thought i'd let you know i ran the x5 on sunday, after spending many hours on it to get it just right and tricking it up with lunsford titanium hingepins, turnbuckles and screws, so it looks pretty good. The car ran perfectly, i basically just ran the steenari worlds setup on it from the xx4 as its always my base setup and it was dialed at my local club track, The last few meetings, ive been racing the two local guns one xxx4 and one b44 with my xxx4 and have been on their pace but really had to work hard to keep in the front pack, yesterday i was able to reel the guns in, make passing moves and draw away in the lead, and post fastest lap times in pretty much every race. The car sounds so smooth too, i dont know what it is but its so quiet going down the straight. As per my previous thread, i run in the 17.5 stock class that is run here in Australia, so ive used the losi diff pulleys and shaft pulley to make the internal ratio taller, and then i fitted in the losi red 86 spur with slipper pads, tightened it all and dropped it in to the tunnel and it dropped in like it was made for it, endfloat was perfect, i tried the shims just to check and even the smallest shim made the setup just too wide to fit in nicely. Anyway, so its dialed, and im a massive fan, it drives just like my xx4 except on the straights, i'll put some pics up tomorrow.

Our nationals are next weekend so i'll be taking the car to that event, thanks to all those who have helped answer questions over the last few weeks

Here are a few pics of the car, my normal racing colours are black with green flames, but as i painted this body with a light silver first just to give it that metallic look, then put the black on, i decided fading the black into the silver on the front would look better then when i looked at the car i figured it needed some green on it so i painted the wing, i like it at the moment, but at least if i tire of the wing, i can just put a clear one on.
