What length are the front shock shafts supposed to be on a x-5??

0.6" for the fronts (1.2" on the rear)

X - 5 and X - 5 Squared use the exact same shocks as the xx-4. In the front, this is the same shock as on all xx- and xxx- buggies. In the rear, it's the same as on all xx- and xxx- trucks.
