Default Crashback arms and screws

Anyone had same thought as I have? I'm holding in my hand both XX4 and Cat Sx arm and they look almost the same (well Cat's arm is nicer and stroger ). I was just thinking if it worth to fit Crashback arm on Cat or at least crashback screws instead of kingpins.

The SX arm is not weak at the kingpins like the Losi is. I can see what you are thinking with the X-factory screws, but it would be of no benefit - infact it is likely to be a hinderance as those screws can sometimes tighten the movement of that hinge if holes aren't drilled straight enough.

The weakness in the SX arm seems to be around the ballstud. This can be fixed.....

The ballstud has a shoulder where there is no thread. On an unmodified arm this stresses the plastic, but if you reem the screw hole for the first 1mm ONLY, this shoulder on the ballstud won't stress the arm and will make it far stronger.

Use Schumacher Mid-flex wishbones, and it should be damn near bullet proof!!

Ok thank you. I'm new to this Schumacher family (I just got my Cat SX from Kecky) and I still have XX4 a and box full of spare parts so I'm comparing both cars. I'm also thinking about using Brian Kinwald's spurs instead of kimborough. Anyone tried them?

One more question - how to get rid of AE threadlock? It's strong as superglue and I can't unscrew anything what was threadlocked.

Try heating the screw with a powerful soldering iron and make sure that the allen driver you are using is perfect.
