I'm looking for several team c tc02c evo gear diffs and gear boxes so that I can convert my three TC02C.
Anyone got any to sell? Thank you. |

Hi there - I may have misunderstood your posting but converting a TC02C to a TC02C Evo is a little more complicated than replacing the gearbox and requires quite a few items. in actual fact you are building a totally different car. I have attached a shortcut below - hope this helps

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Yep, I'm comfortable that there are quite a lot of bits to change out, but I was hoping to find some of the more expensive bits second hand, and do the conversion for less than the official conversion kit costs. The plastic bits are fairly cheap, and I hope to butcher the shells that I already have to suit.
I've got three of them to do... So three conversion kits is quite expensive! This may well prove to be a dead end, or just wholly unrealistic, but I thought it worth a quick ask around. Thanks again. Tim |

Hi Tim - on the positive side you can re-use the TC02C shell without butchering it make sure not to use the Evo conversion spur cover. You just need to mount/attach the shell further back towards the rear shock tower, this will clear the spur gear and the shaft lock nut.
But I am sorry to tell you there are no shortcuts on this conversion. The Evo chassis is longer, the Evo conversion parts are all unique to the Evo - you cannot use TC02C parts as they will not fit. |
