Default 8th brake set up??

Hi guys, I'm racing spuds Mugen mbx5 on Sunday at Kent Model Rally X club, good club btw any one who fancies coming down?

Iv put in the ferodo style discs front and rear, iv set them up so the fronts just come on before the rears and wondered what other tips/set ups people use??

Do many people run the answer pad springs to stop brake drag??

How much float do you give pads? I mean the free play on the pads where you bolt these to the centre diff mounts, hope you know what I mean!!

How much fuel line do you put after the brake cam and collet ? I'm using about 6mm and it seems ok

I'm looking forward to a bit of 8th, just hope it's warmer than EPR last weekend!!

Just to let you other people here are some of the tips Show time mentioned,

Front brakes coming in before the rears, then dial out the front to suit the track.

As for fuel line on the linkages, run these the same length but you can experiment with different lengths on the rear or front to give a different feel.

The brake springs to stop drag, a few people use these, a ball point pen spring does the same job, most people tend not to use these as the cars run fairly free.

Free play on the bolts/pads, 1mm of end float seems the norm.

Hope his helps out other rally crossers out there!
