Hi there,
I'm not sure what makes servos and receivers compatible... Can anyone recommend a 2.4 transmitter and receiver to use with a pair of Syncro KS-200 servos I already have in a nitro car? Will any 2.4 receiver work or does it need to be Syncro *branded? I was looking at the syncro KT-200 TX and KR-200 receiver - would they work with the the servos? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Ben |

if I remember correct servos don't really care brand of tx and rx control them
the only thing to remember is they must be capable of receving the "hi frequency" digital 2.4 signal older " budget servos" used to struggle because of this and "buzz" like crazy and fail the kyosho combo you mention should be fine the electrical gurus will surely correct me if im wrong Dave |

Thanks Dave, that's helpful.
I was thinking there might be differencies with things like voltage between different brands/specs of servo. From what you say presumably servos and receivers can be mixed and matched assuming they are relatively contemporary and up to the job of the higher frequency 2.4 signals. |

hi
some latest servos are "hi-volt" capable of running direct from 2 cell lipos (8.4v) fully charged more normally servos are powered from the receiver itself at around 5- 6 volts in electric set ups, the rx is powered from the ESC (speed controller) in nitro set ups a separate battery pack supplies the rx again usually around 5-6 volts "digital servos" are capable of handling the 2.4 ghz technology hope this helps |
