Hi everyone. My mate has what he believes to be a Works 91 (angled cell slots) that he has been racing again for a while. Having tried Lipo rather than old nimh cells cells today, it would be good if he could run a slipper clutch. Is there a collection of bits that can be got together to convert it? Cheers :-)

You can get one its called a TCS system and looks like this
![]() ![]() Problem is there as rare as hens teeth and very expensive if you find one. If it is a 91 (has 2mm fine pitch belts) he would be better changing them for the 3mm pitch from the 92 to start with and what's he running?? Dan ran his 92 without a slipper with a 6.5t brushless and I think it held up quite well. I've yet to run mine but am in the process of building a runner that will be fully brushless.

Ok thanks. I think the belts were ok, the rear diff started slipping which is well overdue a rebuild. Running a 6.5t on bumpy astro track.

I ran an 8.5 no slipper but changed to s3m belts.
Aren't the 91 and 92 m2 as standard and the 93 changed to m3? |

Hi Guys,
I’m new to this forum as a member but have been lurking in and off for the last couple of years or so. I have always wanted to join but the other things have got in the way. I will post a more formal introduction on due course but for now wondered who owns the YZ10 pictured above. Is the TCS mount custom made? It’s a work of art. Just wondering who made it etc? I am thinking of doing something like this for a project car that I am building so any help would be appreciated. Thanks Jamie |

Hi Jamie and welcome to oOPle first off! Secondly the TCS in ther pics is mine and is a completely stock Yokomo one.
The motormount is also a Yokomo one and usually fetch about the same as the TCS's do! I heard this morning that there should be some motor mounts made soon buy a guy that sells on eBay Pargu so keep and eye out.

I will get some pics up tonight. I think its a 1994 one, black box with pink artwork and YZ10 in yellow. 1994: Yokomo YZ10 Super Dog Fighter I was supposed to be building up another car last night but got distracted by this one. It was in a lot of bits, I started to put it back together to make sure its all there and remember it has some damage to the front. Pretty obvious when it started to get rebuilt.
Don't suppose you know the part number for the shaft that fits nearest to the chassis at the front wishbone. Sorry if the terminology is wrong, been of the scene for a long time. There is a packet for sale on the bay at the moment, just not sure if its the right one. |

Hi Jamie welcome to oople👍
I think your after the front inner hinge pin, there's a few guys on here that should be able to help you out with either the part number, an alternative or may even have spares they might part with too, post up some pics when you can and we'll help out if possible Cheers Adrian |

Hi Adrian, thanks, I was writing my post when you responded, yeah hinge pin sounds about right with the terminology. I have been away from this hobby for far too long.
Should be able to see the bent pin in the pics. The car is very dirty and needs a full rebuild. |

Yeah hinge pin you want to strip it and see if it's broke any of the mounts too, I've got a couple I think if you need just 1. The ones you want are the ones that come with the small screw in the pack can't remember the part number off hand.
Yes it is a 94 best bet would be to strip it and then see what you need I'm sure we can dig you some parts up

Looks like it maybe a little more than just the hinge pin,
I'm not a yoko man so not sure wether the front bulkhead also holds the hinge pins or wether they are seperate items, but it looks like the inner block might be damaged too, it would pay to pull it apart and have a look......or you could just box up all the parts and tell me how much you want for it lol ![]() |
