Default Is it OK to install ESC on its side?

I have an ESC with cooling fan, but I'm tight on space. Just wondering whether its OK to install it on its side?

As long as it's secured properly and the fan can spin without rubbing the guard/wires, you're fine. The HB D216 is even designed to have the ESC mounted on its side.

In 2wd teamC you could even run without the fan as it is probably not really needed
