the rebuild of my Graphite is coming along , it's not 100% as original as I will be using modern electronics and have used a couple of bits off other cars I have lying around.
I have an old type slipper and wondered if people recommend using a more modern ![]()

Can't you put a B4 shaft in it or something and use a new slipper? Or am I going mad and heard something totally different

You will not be able to fit a B4 layshaft in a original Stealth box I believe.
The B4 Layshaft is what early RE-RE worlds kits needed as the shaft was machined too short allowing the back slipper plate to hit the motor plate. The B4 shaft was machined in a different place allowing clearance of the slipper plate. Now included in second batch RE-REs The Worlds RE-RE idler is I believe a different size including different size bearings. Part number WORLDS RE-RE IDLER GEAR= 6569 Part number ORIGINAL STEALTH IDLER=6570 I maybe wrong but contact CML to clarify the above, but I think Im right. The single slipper will more than handle 10.5-9.5 I would not go much below this. I know people running 10 double brushed with lipo with single slipper pad and it handles it no problem. Hope this helps.............. ![]() ![]() Last edited by xfactor; 07-09-2015 at 07:22 PM. |
