hi all,
I found some new looking Tamiya tyres, but don't know what the compounds are? Rear high density spike tyres K 62/35 and Rear high density spike tyres C 62/35 anyone know? specifically I'm looking for some options for running indoor, mixture of Ozite and concrete (!) Thanks Stu

My Durga comes stock with "K" compound tires. K's are fine for softer outdoor tracks with some loose dirt, but miserable to run on hard clay indoor tracks. I should know since I slid around like crazy till I changed my tires. The "C" compound tires are -much- softer and hook up really good on hard tracks. Go with these tires for your indoor runs. |

Too bad they are $40 a pair !! ( well, 19 quid, same thing, + postage !) Maybe I'll try some other options

Check into the Jconcepts tires [I used their 1/10th scale Double Dee's]. They are excellent and are rated by color (instead of letters like Tamiya). The softest Jconcept compound is 'green'; 'blue' is the next softest. Either of these compounds will do well. Hope this helps. |

Avoid Tamiya tires. Even soft ones are too hard. Only positive thing is, they do not wear out never! Hereby no grip at all.
