Default LRP Sphere Repair cost

Hey everyone,

At York regional after a really good day with my BJ4WE the cells deceided to come loose in the car and shorted out on the centre shaft - Yes i know im an idiot.

The speedo obviously didnt like it and spat out a nasty smell that isnt good - But no smoke. After taking the car back to the pits i checked if was ok by plugging it all back in and it 'Seemed' to be fine...

Come sunday i tried it again and loads of flashing lights on the speedo come up and a gradual rise of power pushed through the car - so obviously its shafted. It isnt under warrenty no more as i had (Regretfully) unsolderd the motor wires to send under the front centre shaft on my car to neaten it up. Plus the fact i had stuck the capacitor under the solder tabs and come to remove it the bar coding and product ID thingy ma bob has come off so the warrenty is voided so i cant send it back under that..

So to send it back does anyone know what sorta price its gonna cost to get it repaired? Or is it not worth bothering with?

Garry

It isn't under warranty because you replaced the replaceable wires?

Sorry to hear that mate, the car didn't smell too good after the incident at the regional. Just one of those things that happens, not your fault.

Garry,

The tabs are there so you can replace the wires without opening the case.

IMHO if the case has not been opened it is fine. It is not your fault that the sticker is not up to the job. On the equipment I design the sticker even has to be tested

as long as you have the warrenty card it should be fine. i had nosram and lrp ones replaced for far worse than that. one was even sent back without wires .

take it back to the shop you got it from and get them to send it to the importer to get sorted as that will be the best route and wont invalidate any warrenty yu do have

It sounds like you might have a chance with a warranty claim if not the fella I've delt with before is Derek Bailey, he couldn't repair mine but I know quite a few others have had theirs fixed by him.

I have PM'd his email address to you.
