I have one on my DB01.
I have a hard time to get some power on the rear wheels. When I test on the bench all seems right and diffs are tight. But on the track all the power (not really all but maybe 70%-80%) is on the front wheels, so it's like driving a front 2wd. I have rebuilded the front and rear diffs (according the procedure found somewhere in this forum), double checked the slipper clutch setup but I can't find the problem. How to fine tune the slipper clutch ? The instruction sheet does not give any clue. Thank you for your help. |

you tried tightening it? The way it works, the axle with the heaviest load will slip first, if you have the slipper set to loose, then the rear will slip first, as under acceleration, the rear axle takes the highest loading.

I followed the instruction (0.8mm from memory) but I will try a bit more.

Can you fit the double slipper AND the centre one way at the same time? Just curious more than anything.

I thought this would be cool too. Unfortunately Tamiya did not make it possible to combine the double slipper and the center one-way. Probably because the center one-way mostly eliminates the need for each diff to independently slip.

The standard position is at 0.5mm (from the instruction sheet). I will try tightening it for next race.
