hi,
anyone here try running 4 or 5 cell on the standard chassis? wondering if it would adversely effect the balance of the car? i was think 4 cells and put the cells in the centre. i.e leave the front and rear slot empty.... any thoughts? |

i recon if you run 4 cells and have them in the center it might put your car off balance a bit cause theres less wait.
Also your car wouldnt last as long. ![]()

If you left everything else identical, the 4-cell car would actually last longer. But it would be a lot slower.
As far as balance goes, the car is currently overweight on the battery side, a motor weighs about 150g, electronics around 100g total, but a pack of 4200's weigh about 400g (65g per cell). Why would you want to run 4 or 5-cells? I did't think any of the discussions about 4 or 5 cell rules applied to off-road? |

hi. just curious i guess. also less tire wear. and my track really doesnt need all the speed my 6.5r provides.
i made up a few 5 cells and 4 cell packs. see how she goes. only problem is I dont think my DPD equilizer can do 5cell. |
