Default Install's

Any one have an super tidy installs for the BJ4 Worlds car for me to have a gander at with a LRP/Nosram brushless system in. Ideally want the car to have no wires on show

Also looking for gearing on a 5.5 Brushless motor for general use all round.

Thanks

I'll PM you Garry with a picture of how my electrics are later tonight when I get back from work

Is the motor sintered or bonded?

Thanks Rich i remeber seeing youres at York actually the other night looked spot on. I think its bonded im not too sure i aint been paying too much attension to the Brushless scene to be totally honest as ive been racing brushed for a fair while and not really needed to dabble in Brushless.

Hi Garry

Mine is a B44 but obviously almost identical anyway ........

Ive been told that fitting the speedo and motor on the same side affects the handling. However, using a setup from Rich Lowe and some lead on the opposite side it felt dialed at Worksop last meeting.

Pic shows NimH but with Lipo and a lead plate underneath, it was pretty well balanced on my 4 digital corner weight scales.

Looks really tidy that, Ive got the receiver infront of the motor at the moment im thinking of running the wires under the shaft solderd to upside down on the tabs so i have acess too the centre unit easily maybe..

Im using the Sanwa RX-431 Receiver so its not stopping a great deal of cool air to the motor, maybe if i move it further towards the front centre shaft i could squeeze a fan in too, Maybe an LRP/Nosram one.

To be honest Garry, i only race it indoors, never had any issues with the motor getting hot. If its geared correctly then it comes off warm, certainly not hot.
Same with my TC, never ran any extra cooling on any brushless system. My brushed motors however were always stinking hot even with extra heatsinks and fans.

Its all in finally. Ive solderd the motor wires on the tabs from the underside sending them under the front shaft so its nice and easy for a quick spur change if needed and seems tidy i think...

Its also got Losi shocks all round, Atomic Carbon S4 shock towers and has Tamiya 501X arms too on the front; so really its quiet strong! Looking forward to York on saturday now to try it

Now that is very tidy, I am a bit anal with my wiring my X6 is a bit untidy at the mo but I have plans for it when it goes Lipo. A Dremel tunnels and glue may be involved.
