Default Got a new camera...

Our old camera broke and we wanted a new one mum and dad where looking at compacts and our budget couldnt stretch to a SLR so we ended up getting a fujifilm f8000fd Ive been playing with it i borrowed a similar model fuji film earlier in the year to take some pictures and they where relativly succesfull nothing like jimmys but it was fun so ive been playing around with here are some pics ive took.

My new micro cells muc better quality than any other camera that ive had before

Then i startedplaying around with long shutter speeds only source of light i could find was my mobile...

But i have a question what is iso?

iso....... when we had film it was the speed, a number that defined how long the film (now ccd) took to be fully exposed by a measured amount of light. light is adjustable with shutter speed, twice as long, twice as much light, and aperture, twice as big, etc (most of the numbers are twice). So you can drop the shutter down increase the aperture and the same amount of light will reach the film/ccd.

Say,,,, if the iso is 100, then 200iso will accept it twice as quick, up the iso and pick a faster shutter speed, same amount of exposure. Handy for fast buggys……. The trade off is grainy pictures or less colour possibly.

3 things to play with, shutter speed, aperture and iso

Yup, basically light sensitivity, lower ISO, less sensitive to light, smoother image. Higher ISO, more sensitive to light, faster shutter speed but noisier, image looks grainy. HTH, basics to ISO
