Convert to 12mm hex with something like this:

Ah, good point the axle length I had forgotten about. You could build up with rear axles?

Why exactly do you need the same front and rear tires? Are they a special tread or compound, or is it purely aesthetic?

Have you tried mounting the wide tires onto 4WD front rims? They probably become a bit chubby, but it's an easy and cheap thing to check ![]() Then there's also something called 'cut 'n shut tires': ![]() You take a tire (or several), cut them in several parts and glue them back into the shape you desire. There are flexible CA glues which should do the trick. I can imagine some fibre reinforced tape could also function as an internal reinforcement for the carcass. The example I posted above might be a bit of an extreme, but it shows what's possible ![]() |

The only solution I found was to mill the inside of the wheel to the same thickness as a 4wd front and then with a hot chisel, melt a new groove for the pin fixing. This is on Schumacher wheels (old style) which use a pin fixing, F & R on 4wd. This way the rear wheel fits onto the front driveshafts the same as a front wheel would.
