Hi all, I have just built a brand new Kyosho GX15 with all the parts bought seperately but when it came to building it i noticed that the two top screw holes for were the back plate screw in had gone strait through to were the piston and cylinder slid in on the inside chamber and so i wanted to find out if the crank case was faulty as i built it with every part brand new but i can not get it started at all. I have tried heating it up to the right temp first and have tried a No.6 and No.8 plug but it won't start no matter how much i have tried and even leaning it out plus all the tricks of the trade have had no success

Hi Neil, Many thanks for your reply it's much appreciated and i do appologize for only just replying back. I haven't at the moment but i will try to get some when i get the chance. I thought it was odd as well as i have a couple of GX15 and a GX12 and they are all good. I have been told that as long as i seal it ok and use some thread lock it should be ok to use but it does bugg me knowing they are there. Would you say there could be an issue with the holes there? It looks like they drilled just 0.1 -0.2 mm to much. Let me know what you think as i would be intrested to know if there would be any performance issues if the holes weren't plugged and sealed. Thanks again. Hicks

Hi Neil, Sorry i haven't replied mate as i had a friend pass away on friday so it's been a very sad weekend for me and the family and i just haven't been in the mood to do anything with my GX15. I managed to try again this afternoon but i still can't get it working no matter what i try. I am useing brand new OS No.8-6 plugs and a fully charged Glow starter and i'm heating it upto temp before i start but no matter what i do it just wont start at all. I used thread lock on the top two screw holes so it was sealed up and i have tried so many different settings but nothing at all so it has to be a faulty casing. Every single part i bought was brand new and still in the packageing so i can't see why i'm having trouble getting it started so i've given up for the time being. I will get some picture posted soon and then hopefully you could tell me if it's the casing being faulty. Many thank.
