Default too wide?

Really just a quick test and it will change but is the new format of oOple too wide for anyone? I've kept the site 800 pixels wide for a long-long time to make it as accessible as possible - but I guess most people have bigger monitors and such these days.

i have to turn my head to read the text from left to right now you know what they say though... The Bigger The Better on a serious note it does seem a little harder to see and read everything, got a little lost with the extra size, i have a small head i prefer it as it was before but i'm just 1 person see what others think

As I was reading this thread I was thinking that there was something wrong with oople and it seems to be filling my browser window more than normal

I prefer it larger personally, i've used various resolutions at >1600px for years.

Maybe best to do a "what resolution do you run " poll, with short bit of info on how to find out for the noobs

Looks great on 1680 x 1050

Re-code the whole site so the width is dynamic!

But in all seriousness I think the 800 pixel standard is history now, just like 640 before it. Code for 1024 now and I doubt anyone would notice.

Please never make the site dynamic width!

The width is great mate. I see you have gone 950 which is about as wide as you can push it for the de facto base 1024 screens. Personally I tend to use 925-940 depending on the website so roughly in the same ball park.

I checked it on my web developing PC (where I have a second monitor installed that is 15" 1024x768 exactly for this purpose) and it looks fine I expect your/Vickys' EEE Pc will be 1024, always good test.

Anyway, looks good mate. Always nice to fill up more web space. Nice work!

Hasn't caused any issue for me - but hey, I've only recently learnt to read

Besides - you needed to go wider to accomodate all of those ma-hau-sive sig liners that Craig is doing for his team mates

and for thoses that like their posts to include their racing CVs
