Default 4wd front tyres by mistake

I have just ordered some schumacher yellow minispikes for my durango 2wd buggy.

Only after gutting and glueing them (and the struggle that endured) did I realise they were actually 4wd front tyres instead. They are a little wider and have an extra row of spikes instead. Does anybody know if this makes any difference?

Is the wide tyre or extra footprint going to make a massive change in handling?

I'm likely to buy another set of the correct size bug will still give em a go

Not ideal, but can always trim a row or two off if you find the front too sharp...

Wont be ideal, but you can always trim a row off, some people do this on the normal 2wd minispikes anyway to lessen the grip and make things a little less aggressive, so possibly you want to trim 2 rows off by the sound of it, although try one at first and see how that handles

Huge difference in profile, sidewall stiffness and internal construction.

I'd definitely change them, lets face it tyres are a 1 or 2 (sometimes more) sets per day consumable.

If there 4wd fronts they will provide a lot more steering!
The sidewalls are bigger/softer and there's a lot more side to side movement/roll on every corner with them

The 2wd tyres definetly make it easier to drive all depends what surface your on
They provide a lot less steering
Less roll side to side
More consistent

My choice always is 2wd!
