Default TA04 Pro setup

My son will soon be ruuning his TA04 pro with a 27turn motor (first experience of anything other than a TT01) Anyone got any suggestions of what spur and pinion he should use for carpet racing on a basketball court size track? very twisty normally

Start with a final drive ratio of 7 - 1, then its up to you wether to go up or down a tooth on the pinion.
Rough guide is to reach max speed 3/4 of the way down the longest straight length of the track.
Its then down to personal preferences for acceloration etc on the shorter sections wether you go one less tooth less again to get that extra or not.
Hope this helps
