Default TRF 801Xt

The 801Xt just landed on my desk, quite literally - I was sat in my own world listening to the smiths at work (!) and it took me by surprise!

This is the car I'm reviewing now, really looking forward to it - it's taken me a little by surprise so I've not got some of the bits I'll need for it but hopefully I should get them sorted very soon.

Here's a pic from the website - looks familiar, like some sort of horizon / xtreme rc magazine photographer to me.

Looks like a niece piece of kit.

To bad I had just bought a Losi 8ight-T some 2 weeks before the 801Xt was announced. It would have made a nice pair with the TRF501X.

I'm seriously kicking around the idea of doing an electric conversion on one of these things. They look great. Can't wait to see the review.

I'm sorry, I'm impatient. Can you Jimmy already comment what do you think about new 801xt? What about quality? Some people in internet wrote that it breaks easily, are those writings bs?

Has anyone done a conversion? I would buy this kit yesterday if I knew it was a viable mod.

I've not finished the build yet so I can't comment on its durability - hopefully I can start breaking it in this week. It looks pretty strong in most areas I'd say - but being a new area for Tamiya it remains to be seen if they did their homework properly.
