Default Issues setting up 2nd car (tx/rx or esc issue)

Im new to all this and working on my first kit car (dex410v4) I have finally finished it and got everything in, and just trying to set her up.

ESC - Hobbyking X-Car 120A Brushless Car ESC
SERVO - SAVOX SC1258
RX - CR154 - Core RC Code 2.4G FHSS Sport Receiver
TX - CR151 - CODE 2.4G FHSS LCD 2 Stick Tx + RX

I turn the esc switch on, and the servo and esc start intermittently juddering around. I try to key in the receiver to the radio and I'm not sure if it is accepting it.

I already have the TX set up with a car1 and that is fine, this is set on the TX as car2

Where do I start fella's? all your help comments and criticism's are welcome

I had a similar issue when I first set up my TM2. I tried alsorts and in the end it turned out to be a faulty receiver. The symptoms were that it would intermittently spin up the wheels and flicker the steering, almost like it was picking up someone else's signal. Swapped the rx and it was spot on! Have a read through your instruction book for the esc and see if it can be calibrated. My orion r10 had the facility and its great to be able to rule that out as a problem then.

My mate had the exact same thing with his code tx at the weekend and we were told it wasn't the right rx
does the rx have the plug sockets on the end of the rx rather than the top? Because we were told that's not the right one you need the rx with the sockets in the top for a stick tx

The other is for pistol/steerwheel transmitters

I have no idea if this is correct information it's just what we were told

Cheers for Reply guys, I will Order another and see if the problem persists.. I have the other RX on my 210 and it works fine.. Chose this one because of the confines in the 410, and needing to stand it on its side.

I will let you guys know friday when the next RX's come in.

you know one rx works just try swopping to second car this will eliminate rx as problem

if you have code/etronix handset make sure throttle hold switch is not "on"
caused loads of problems if not noticed it stops you calibrating esc
