it is NOT a JST-PH connector. it is what's known as a micro JST.

ebay.

JST XH is too big. That's balance lead size (Balance leads are typically 3-7 wires) you are talking about a 2 wire/pin version.

Micro JST is similar, just smaller.

JST PH or Micro JST is similar, just smaller.
Neil,
Think the PH only has one locating groove whereas the XH has two as in the picture above.

JST XH is too big. the one Lee has linked is wrong. that has a 2.5mm pin to pin pitch measurement.

You want Micro JST Connector with 1.25mm pitch.

Example: http://www.ebay.com/itm/10-x-Micro-J...item2a359e44eb

See linked photo I've just taken: https://www.dropbox.com/s/cwf2tall1q...2018.22.47.jpg

Left is the Micro JST connector on fan.
Right is the JST XH 3 pin connector for a balance lead.

it's not JST PH or XH. both are too big.

Googling/ebaying Micro JST gets the right one, but thee is no micro JST connector listed on the JST website.

JST-ZH is 1.5mm pitch. http://www.jst-mfg.com/product/detail_e.php?series=287

But I think the Micro JST is 1.25mm pitch, and the one you want. I'll continue to search for the correct JST code/name.

I don't think it's a jst ph as the ph version has flat sides and a ridge running down the back that locates into a slot,

Mine in the pic has ridges down the sides and a flat back,

I think it's a Jst ehr as shown in the link below, just needed conformation.

yup I've already said its not jst-ph. its micro jst.

jst-ehr has a 2.5mm pitch also, which is too big. The pitch is the measurement between centre of pins. the connector you want has a 1.25mm pitch.
the shop in your link does not list the one you need. I've found them on eBay searching for "micro jst".

it could be JST-ZH: http://www.jst.co.uk/productSeries.p...eatures&cat=30
but I've yet to find specs and example of a 2pin version. plus its pitch is 1.5mm, which is too big when I've measured.

it could also be a connector by Molex, the molex picoblade. it has a 1.25mm pitch.

I'm certain it's the Molex picoblade 1.25mm 2wire connector.

It also seems to be called micro JST, although JST don't make it, Molex do.

examples on ebay:

thankyou for all your help neallewis and lee1972,

ive contacted the company that does the crimp ones in the link in neallewis's post to ask if they can do a better offer as it works out over 10 pounds for 20 male connectors posted, but one of the links you sent i can get 20 males and 20 females all with wires connected for only 3.99 posted free from hong kong,

id rather crimp my own so asked the uk company if they can beat their 3.30 postage option, it seems quite steep for items that in total will weigh less than a 2 pence piece,

thanks again neallewis for the links to the items i need,
