I now have both a bmax4 and 2mr,
Never been a fan of the pin drive and want to convert then into hex drive, Do people convert to 10mm or 14mm hexs and can what sizes fit what?? I dug out my old schu cat 2000 wheels which run a 14mm hex and would fit with a very thing hex adapter but dont think there will be enough threads for the nust, (Shame as there brand new wheels and tyres) I have read durango ones fit and ones for losi and accosiated, And new bmax is hex drive but wanted more info, Did a little search but not much came up, Many thanks in advance |

I've used plastic Durango hexes on the back of mine. Needs spacing out 2mm where I used the Tresrey alloy wing washers to spread the load, perfect

I still have 3 sets of cat2000 wheels and no yokomo ones so thought
Would make sence to convert them to hex, I was wondering do I just take the hexs off the cat suspension and cut a slot int them to fit over the yokomo pins? I already have the bits and just recycling. So durango and schumacher cat2000 are 14mm hexs, Ideal at lease I can get wheels now! Many thanks to you both |

Yeap original hubs and was only 2mm. Had a DEX210 wheel on one side and a Yok wheel on the other to make sure the offset was identical. I'm using the plastic hexes not the Tresrey ones if that makes any difference.

Yeh I've done the same, plastic Durango hex's from the 210, all I did different was shave the small boss off the inside and turned up an aluminium spacer recreating the boss on the bearing side of that, gap was 2.6mm without boss on hex, to fit Durango fronts I found bearing spacing was slightly wider than Yok wheels simply turned a .4mm step on some counter washers to make the extra room saved altering the axle if I ever want to go back.

has anyone done both front and rear of the bmax4 to Durango hex? I've got a load of unused 4wd tyres glued to Durango and xray wheels that i would like to us on my bmax4 if possible. I imagine the rear is the same as Ralphys mr2, but the front? xray hexes don't fit, tried them. which Durango hexes do I need to get? are front and rear hexes the same?

The fronts are very close to schumacher cat ones hence why I asked,
Im going to cut a slot in the hex for the pin and fit them on to try, The cat hex is only about 3mm thick so will be tight unless I fit them behind the pins and use it as the bearing spacer also, |

For everyone wanting to convert the B-Max4 to small hex in the front, Yokomo's weekly update came up with a new parts number. I suppose it will be a grey/gunmetal version of the old blue front hex to match the colour of the 4III parts. (BM-011FG)
