transmiter and reciever recommendations

Hey all just getting back into racing after 15years out,
All my stuff was 27mhz which was ok then,

Just got myself a new buggy coming and want a decent tx/rx for it,

Been looking at the spektrum dx4 and the sanwa mt4,
Would ideally be spending 150-200,
Anything else I am missing or does anyone have a second hand one?

I would look for a good second hand Futaba 3VCS with either a spektrum or 27/40MHz module, slip in a FRSKY 2.4Ghz hack module ( if you don't want to use the Spektrum one ) and away you go !

Mt4 without a doubt everyone thats tried mine has bought one and I'm yet to hear a bad word from anyone about them two years on mine not one glitch

keep checking the for sale section on oople and ebay, u can pick up some good deals. I'm currently using a spektrum dx3c transmitter and couldn't fault it
