Default Club night Friday November 29th

So it's Dudley On Sunday for round 3 of the micro nationals which can only mean one thing: shed loads of micro racers descending on Caldi for a bit of practise

Me and Freddie will be there both with micros but who else is joining us and what will you be racing?

Any chance of using a lot of shiny floor this week please in preperation for lots of the slippy stuff on Sunday?

Sorry Brian, no flat track, anyway you had your retro fix last week!

Micros and 10th are all welcome and we always have heats of both (that should make sure no one is confused!)

I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who stayed on and helped pack away, it was awesome how the track disapeared so quickly. Thank you again and keep up the good work!

Now, do you think you can all take away the reason for me having to shout for marshalls at the start of each race?

just joking.
will try and incorporate a "big air" jump in the track with an option for those who dont want to use it.

Not wishing to give anyone an excuse...but is the gap between races set really short on the computer at the moment?

As for track...I'm up for many slippy bits too! So track builders, lets not put all the carpet down first this week...go old school and we'll just lay carpet where we need it this week.

Will try and get there extra early to help figure it out...it's been a while!

No it isn't, you need to come up with another excuse for being late out to marshal Mr Nancollis!

perhaps we should put a table next to the rostrum and insist that people leave their cars and transmitters there after their heat and get straight out to marshall unless they have a substitute

the only problem I can see with this is charging, as I try to get my batteries on charge before returning to marshall if Freddie isn't covering for me

an extra minute between heats may help if it is people just trying to get their batteries on charge before marshalling, I suspect that this is just part of the reason though

numbered marshalling points may help also as we'd easily be able to identify missing marshalls

perhaps we could put the options to the club and have a show of hands vote on Friday before racing gets under way

Or perhaps people can pop back to their table pop the batteries on charge and then not get distracted and end up sitting down to fix their car/chat to mates whilst they're meant to be marshalling!

Just a idea.would it be possible to miss the round after your heat and then marshall.extending the time inbetween may cause a loss of a round.or penalize people who stay late on the track after there heat and are late marshall

i think the two minute delay set between the end of one heat and the start of the next is adequate time to get to your pit table and plug your cells on charge, the problem is that people always want to get a few more laps in at the end of the heat/race after the "race over" is announced on the computer instead of leaving the rostrum straight away.

was the `big air` jump and slippy floor to everyones liking last night ???, and did matt`s pred survive until the end ( considering there was a pred freindly detour in the track).

Was an excellent night....

The Pred survived 1 round of practice, 4 rounds of quallies and the final... and i didnt break a single thing !! Ok the diffs sounded as they were on the edge of expoloding, but they also survived... and the car drove very, very well even on almost bald minipins.

I jumped the big jump once, then that was it. Im not stupid. Pred + Big Air = expensive fix.
