Default noisy vts slipper housing

don't know if its me but the vts slipper housing is making a rough noise. have checked it all. stripped it down got manual out and rebuilt. still the same. sounds like tight meshing.so loosen still the same. tighten still the same. everything is free just sound like a plastic rattle..dis engage motor.and spin wheels no noise.run motor no noise.re engage still noisy.

Check there is nothing in the roots of the teeth on pinion and spur. That makes a horrendous noise.

yes have tried 3 spurs new and a different spur new? still the same

even to the point of just feeling the mesh is making the noise
flicking it back n forth makes the noise

Is the motor plate flat? And is everything bolting down on to it square? And do you have plenty of movement in the motor mount, if you are *right* on the limit you sometimes close the mesh up without realising.
