Default Dare I do this?

I need an new shell for my F1. I've just seen this on ebay:

Its called a "BT45" shell. I google BT45 and this is seems to be the car its based on:

This has to be one of the best looking F1 liveries ever (apart from the JPS Lotus)

Problem is, such an beautiful shell doesn't deserve my shambolic driving tendancies.

Decisions decisions

That looks superb, Chris! Can you post the link please.

Should be ideal for you. If you read this article (http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/car/4...lfa-Romeo.html) about the Brabham BT45, you will find that apparenty...

"The flat 12 proved to be over-weight and under-powered. The drivers also complained that the handling was not up to scratch."

Sounds like it'll fit into your collection nicely - if only it had a weak gearbox held together with superglue.

Thanks for that article Paul - really sums Alfa Romeo up: a car with obvious flaws yet you can forgive all of that because of the way it looks and sounds.

I wish there were more vintage f1 shells on the market - Tamiya, please can you re-release those shells you sold in the late 70s

I wonder if we will see the Gulf 917 on the market any time soon, or a silk-cut xjr-9
