Default New Hard Bits

http://www.teamyokomo.eu/yokomo-euro...R-Midship-Hard

http://www.teamyokomo.eu/yokomo-euro...nt-for-MR-Hard

Anyone used these bits yet?

I've had no issue with my kit ones. What improvements are these meant to make? Naoto Matsukura used a CNC machines Ali gearbox at the worlds: http://www.petitrc.com/setup/yokomo/...ico2013092225/

I assume these are just from a stiffer/harder plastic?

Tried the gear-box last night. No difference on performance. Little bit stiffer. It's quite cheap so always good to try out.

It is just designed to be a bit stronger in use, as not to break the shock mount area, or as a performance tune?

Crap translation from Google (original message is Japanese); Teamyokomo: "When used with the midship B-MAX2 MR, is the gear box of 4 gear type. It has become a resin made of high strength, and enhance resistance to crash resistance and chassis rigidity."

So, guess both. Another hard part is coming out soon:
B2-118MRH - Battery holder Hard

I'm hoping that alloy gear casing becomes available to buy. It looks nice. I'd imagine the full alloy chassis will be out too.

I have stripped the threads of the gear box casing from disassembly re assembly. Plastics aren't that great at coping with screws been threaded in and out and the thread eventually strips. I would prefer metal inserts in the casing ala losi 22-4 but that cost more money..
