Default Help with Schumacher bits

I've been lucky enough to acquire a box of vintage Schumacher goodies.
Got a couple of Procats and a Bosscat along with spares and such, but there are a few things I'm not sure of and hoping the infinite knowledge of the oOple crew can help.

There's a carbon chassis for a Bosscat (I think), but don't know who the manufacturer was.

A viscous drive on a layshaft that looks complete - don't suppose anyone would know what it's a direct fit for?

Some spur gears with white discs on - which I think are for the WASP slipper?
And some 32dp spurs that have locating lugs on them like a nitro car - possibly/probably not Schumacher - any ideas?

3 Lazer speedos which I've been told work - did they have names or where they just Lazer. The top one has relays and was used in a buggy, the lower two are FWD only and possibly used in 12th. One has 6 FETS and the other 5 FETS. Am I right in saying they were built bespoke depending on what was wanted?

Storm 2000 chassis and a few other parts I think.

Two Cougar chassis' which I think are Cougar 2's. Both have got the bottom loading shocks and slippers but one has a longer chassis then the other? It's quite a difference and hopefully you can see that in the photo. And the one on the right has stupidly big shock towers for some reason...

Any help much appreciated.

I think the bosscat chassis is a works, and it goes the other way up with the 'pointing in' saddles on the spur side.

The cougar on the right has cougar 1 front wishbones which are straight, not swept hence the difference in length.

The slipper plates could be for the WASP or the schmacher one as they are roughly the same diameter.

I think the Laser speedos did have different names but I can't remember what (Mini Pro or COMFET pro I think) I know that the front 2 speedos were the ones the racers used to use (In buggys). The relay one does forward and reverse, hence the relay

Keith - the Bosscat chassis is an option chassis that Schumacher did - I believe it was called the "Asymmetric" chassis. They did 2 optional ones, this one, and a "USA nats" one that had the cells closer to the centre than kit. As imul has said, it's the wrong way up!!

I was going to suggest that the spurs might be for the Procat SE slipper - as they look like Schumacher spur gears. Not sure though, as I didn't have one.

The red chassis suggests that both cougars are Cougar 2's - and the wing mounts / shocks back it up. As for the crazy mounts - who knows!! Possibly from the truck variant??

For the two Cougars, only one is an actual Cougar 2. The one on the right is a Schumacher Storm truck, that's why it has those shock mounts and the Cougar 1 front wishbones.

Viscous drive could be for anything, Schumacher made layshafts to fit it in all the competition 2wd buggies available at the time. Most likely to be the Cougar 2000 though, considering all the other bits.

Thanks for the info chaps.

I know the chassis is upside down - just put it down to photo it and wasn't paying attention

Didn't know there had been a truck version of the Cougar 2 and didn't notice the wishbones - interesting.

If anyone fancies any of this stuff I think it'll have to go as I've got other stuff to sort through too.

If my memmory serves i think the lazer esc's came in 2 flavours silver and gold, the gold being the higher powered of the two.

Ive got some old rrci's kicking around i'll see if i can find some more info.

Nice haul of parts/cars!

Regarding the two Cougar2/Storm truck chassis - both i'm guessing are the same length (in terms of the red metal chassis part itself) its just the swept front wishbones on the buggy chassis that gives it the shorter wheelbase.... its nice to have the roller drive shafts on that car too

Another vote here on the Viscous drive being for the Cougar/Fireblade 2000 series of buggies or trucks.

Would be cool to see what else you have & hear what plans you have with it all (rebuild, race, shelf etc)

I did get some other cars with this lot.
A slightly battered but pretty much complete CAT XL/XLS
A Procat that I think may have been used at the '90 Euros judging by some marks on the chassis. This car actually has the smoothest transmission I've felt yet on an old CAT.
A Bosscat that's in good condition - except for the shocks which will need new seals.
Already got an XLS so that will go but I'll be keeping the other two, possibly a chance of using the Bosscat at some time. Will try and find out more on the history of the Procat.
And there was a Twister motor too. 20x1 with plenty of comm left too
